Global Compact Network France General Assembly discusses the role of business in a fragmented world
|
The roundtable discussion featured contributions from Florent Menegaux, Chairman of Michelin Group and the UN Global Compact France Network; Estelle Brachlianoff, CEO of Veolia; and Philippe Dessertine, Economist, University Professor, and Chairman of Comité 21. It was moderated by Anne-Catherine Husson-Traore, Managing Director of Novethic.
"We need to remember that a company is first and foremost a human community, a social organization for pooling collective intelligence and creating value. It's not just a question of saving the planet, but also of saving humanity on the planet. The question of social cohesion within the company is therefore crucial," - Florent Menegaux, CEO Michelin.
Speakers addressed the challenges facing companies today, the role of the company in times of geopolitical crisis and its levers for action, as well as the transformation of value chains.
